My fourth Viltrox lens. I didn’t read any reviews for this lens, just bought it because I wanted a good 85mm and as I had recently purchased the Viltrox 135mm f1.8 I knew it would not disappoint. Well, it is just sublime. Sharper than I would have believed, virtually silent focussing and brilliant image quality. Now all I need is Viltrox to release a Z version of a 35mm f1.8 or f1.4 and I will be sorted!

I've owned 75mm and 27mm Pro lenses for the Fuji system before. So I knew what I was getting into when I purchased this Sony mount lens.

Viltrox essentially asking are you prepared to own a pro-quality lens that is larger and heavier than it's competitors?

My response is resounding YES!!!. If you are prepared to adapt to the extra weight and size, this lens's quality is a bargain compared to the GM Sony at a third (well actually a quarter if you include the 20% Black Friday discount) of the price.

The build quality, accurate and silent AF and image quality are a fair trade-off.

I have waited a while for this lens to come out and it didn't disappoint, very well built and image quality better than I expected, fast delivery that could be tracked the whole way, can't wait for a 35mm 1.4 or the 35mm 1.2 lab to be released for the Z mount. Amazing piece of kit...

I bought this lens after seeing Neil Redfern review it at a real wedding on his YouTube channel. Ive had 2 Sony 85 1.8s and they kept getting decentred so I decided on the Viltrox instead of a 3rd Sony. It's very well built, feels very premium and is sharp on a Sony A7RV which is 61MP. It's a bargain for the price and I got an extra 15% off with the summer sale! All my other lenses are GMs and I don't think this will be out of place.

I purchased this lens after seeing Eli infante and Neil Redfern's reviews on YouTube. I used it on a wedding recently and it's amazing. Its fast and has stunning image quality...now to get the 35mm 1.2
